Peggy Guggenheim is the most important museum of European and American contemporary art in Italy. It’s located in the 18th century "Palazzo Venier".
It’s one of the several museums of the Salomon Peggy Guggenheim Foundation and contains mostly private collections of the owner Peggy Guggenheim.

Even if it’s not as famous as the other Guggenheim museums, here you'll find important works by American modernists, PicassoDalìBrancusi and Pollock. Themes include Abstract Expressionism, Cubism and Surrealism. The most remarkable work is "The Angel of the City" by Marino Marini, which is located just in front of the palace.
