Station "Santa Lucia" is in the district of Cannaregio, northeast of the Grand Canal.
You can reach your destination by foot or by Actv waterbus.


AIRPORT

The "Marco Polo" airport  is 6-7 miles away from Venice city centre, depending on which means of transport you choose to arrive in Venice. Public transportation includes buses, waterbuses and private water taxis.

Arriving by car...
You can park your car in Piazzale Roma choosing between different parking lots, which are open all day. Otherwise there is the Tronchetto parking based on the island of Tronchetto.
Then you can get to Venice city centre using private or public transportation.

TICKETS
It is recommended that tourists buy an Actv Pass instead of a single ticket. It allows you to use all types of public transportation for the time indicated on the pass.

There are five different Actv Passes:


18,00 € -  12 hours ticket

20,00 € - 24 hours ticket

25,00 € - 36 hours ticket

30,00 € - 48 hours ticket

35,00 € - 72 hours ticket

50,00 € - 7 days ticket

Price of the ticket includes a large piece of luggage of no more than 150 cm. Otherwise you can buy a three-day ticket, if you are younger than 29 and you have a Rolling Venice Card (€ 4), with a cost of only € 18,00.



VENICE CARD
If you're staying in Venice for more than 3 days, it’s recommended to buy a VeniceCard (not to be confused with the CARTAVENEZIA or IMOBCARD, which is only for the citizens of Veneto).
It’s a discount card guaranteed by the Municipality of Venice.
Available in three different types – yellow VeniceCard,orange VeniceCard and blue VeniceCard.

Yellow VeniceCard is for young people from 6 to 29 years old, and includes:

Free entrance: Palazzo Ducale and other 10 Civic museums of Venice

Free entrance: to the 16 churches of the "Chorus Circuit"

Free entrance: Querini Stampalia's Foundation and Jewish museum

Reduced admission to exhibitions and cultural events in Venice,

Discounts and privileges at the main car park, suggestions for excursions and leisure

2 inputs in the "toilet & nursery Veritas" patrolled in the city

As a gift: a map of the city and an exclusive kit

It costs: 29.90 €

 

Blue VeniceCard is for adults from 30 years old, and includes:

Free entrance: Palazzo Ducale and other 10 Civic museums of Venice

Free entrance: to the 16 churches of the "Chorus Circuit"

Free entrance: Querini Stampalia's Foundation and Jewish museum

Reduced admission to exhibitions and cultural events in Venice,

Discounts and privileges at the main car park, suggestions for excursions and leisure

2 entrances to the "toilet & nursery Veritas" in the city

As a gift: a map of the city and an exclusive kit

It costs: 39.90 €

Boats are the main means of transportation

Orange VeniceCard is for everyone from 6 years old, and includes:

Free entrance: Palazzo Ducale and other 3 civic museums of the Marciana area  in Venice

Free entrance: to the 3 churches of the "Chorus Circuit"

Free entrance: Querini Stampalia's Foundation

Reduced admission to exhibitions and cultural events in Venice,

Discounts and privileges at the main car park, suggestions for excursions and leisure

2 entrances to the "toilet & nursery Veritas" in the city

As a gift: a map of the city and an exclusive kit

It costs: 24.90€
